The Milwaukee Bucks have added even more size to their frontline with the signing of center Robin Lopez. This development reunites Robin with his twin brother, Brook Lopez, who recently signed a two-year pact to continue playing for the Bucks.

Reunited

This is not the first time that the brothers are playing together in the Association. The first time was during the 2019-2020 season, and Robin averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 66 games. Since then, Robin has bounced around every season, playing for Washington, Orlando, and Cleveland.

The Lopez twins, though, played at Stanford together before getting drafted to different teams. Brook was the 10th overall selection by the New Jersey Nets, while Robin was picked at no. 15 by the Phoenix Suns.

Insurance policy

Robin, though, is expected to be an insurance policy in case of injuries to any of their key big men. Brook looked like he found the fountain of youth this past season and was relatively durable.

However, bear in mind that the defensive sentinel is just a season removed from a back surgery that sidelined him for an extended period. With career averages of 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, the Bucks feel at ease knowing Robin is on their bench and ready to step in should the need arise.
