The Milwaukee Bucks add Craig Randall II for the Summer League campaign
The Milwaukee Bucks are adding a high-scoring guard to their Summer League roster.
Per a report by Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Craig Randall II, the 2021-22 G League Most Improved Player, will be a part of the Bucks team that will compete in the pre-season tournament starting July 7th.
Left undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft, Randall suited up for the Iowa Wolves in the G-League last season, where he averaged 21.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Randall has shown his ability to score in bulk after tallying back-to-back 40-point games in the G-League last season.
Bucks to parade a loaded lineup
The 6-foot-4, 27-year-old Randall will be joining a loaded team that will be headed by MarJon Beauchamp, AJ Green, and Lindell Wigginton, who all had appearances with the Bucks last season.
Jabari Parker was initially listed in the lineup, but the Bucks’ second overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft opted not to play due to family matters, a report said.
The lineup also has two rookies from this Draft class, Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston, while Hugo Besson, the Bucks’ 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, will also make an appearance.
Completing the team’s roster are Milwaukee’s undrafted acquisitions Omari Moore and Drew Timme, Vin Baker Jr., Pariss Bass, Tyler Bey, Tyler Cook, Aliou Diarra, Tacko Fall, Jazian Gortmant, Alan Griffin, Nico Mannion, Iverson Molinar, and Anthony Tarke.
Early work for the new-look coaching crew
The Summer League team will be coached by no less than Adrian Griffin, the former NBA player who was hired to replace the dismissed Mike Budenholzer.
Griffin’s assistants, led by ex-Bucks head coaches Terry Stotts and Joe Puntry, will also be around as they try to develop cohesiveness this early before embarking on bigger battles next season.
The Bucks will begin their Summer League campaign against the Denver Nuggets. They will also play against the Phoenix Suns, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Miami Heat for their elimination-round campaign.
