According to Bally Sports Wisconsin, an American regional sports network, the Bucks’ regular-season success translated into strong viewership all season long.

In its report, Bally Sports disclosed that Bucks games that it broadcasted were up +32% compared to the 2021-22 season, averaging more than 32,000 Milwaukee households.

Most-watched

The network added that the Bucks’ 117-104 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on April 2nd was the most-watched and hi-rated game in over 25 years, with more than 62,458 households tuned in.

That game saw Giannis Antetokounmpo outplay fellow MVP contender Joel Embiid, finishing with 33 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and a steal.

Embiid tallied 28 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

The Bucks had back-to-back highest-rated games of the season (February 28th and March 1st), combining for nearly 100,000 household impressions.

The network added that the Bucks’ win over the Indiana Pacers on March 16th was the No. 1 program in the market, beating the No. 2 NCAA Basketball Tournament on TNT by 128%.

Season’s best

Milwaukee’s stellar run this season saw them finish with an NBA-best 58-24 record, making them the overall top seed in the playoffs.

It is the first time since 2020 that the Bucks are the number one overall seed in the playoffs. The team was just seeded number three when it won the NBA crown in 2021.

As the overall top seed, the Bucks will enjoy home-court advantage in all of the playoff series they will be playing.

Milwaukee’s opponent in the first round of playoffs will be old foes in the Miami Heat, as the team from Florida managed to squeeze into the postseason by beating the Chicago Bulls in a crucial game at home.
