The Milwaukee Bucks received a thorough beating in the final game of their California road trip as they got blown out by the Sacramento Kings, 94-129, on Tuesday night.

The Bucks went 1-3 in the West sojourn, including a 35-point loss (90-125) to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. The other loss in the trip was a tight 122-123 decision to the Los Angeles Lakers. The lone win was against the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers, 124-117.

Bucks have gone cold

Milwaukee has gone 1-3 since racking up six straight wins after the All-Star break. It dropped to 42-24 in the season and 10-10 under coach Doc Rivers. The Bucks were 30-13 when they fired Adrian Griffin in January.

Sacramento got hot in the first half to post a 75-56 lead at the break. The Kings shot 68% from the field and 72% from three-point range in the dominant first half. The Kings still led big at the end of the third period, 95-78, and finished off the Bucks with a 34-16 run in the fourth to seal the 35-point blowout.

Sacramento’s lead reached as high as 37 points. Milwaukee was so dismal that it never led in the entire contest.

Poor offensive showing

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. Malik Beasley and Bobby Portis Jr. each had 11 points, while Damian Lillard only had ten. Beasley and Lillard combined to shoot 6-for-25 from the field and 4-for-17 from three-point range.

Milwaukee played without Khris Middleton for the 15th straight game. The veteran shooter, who is nursing a sprained ankle, was listed as questionable but was eventually ruled out before the match.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 29 points, while Domantas Sabonis piled up 22 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. Malik Monk was the third Sacramento player who scored at least 20 points, finishing with 25 points as the Kings improved to 37-27 in the season.

The two squads split their two-game regular-season series, 1-1.

A report asks a crucial question with the NBA Playoffs on the horizon: When will the Giannis-Dame two-man game flourish consistently?
