The Milwaukee Bucks intend to bounce back from their unfathomable first-round loss to the Miami Heat in this year’s playoffs. At the same time, the team realizes that they need to tweak the roster to truly compete for a championship next season. With that in mind, rumors are swirling that the Bucks may target experienced veterans Kevin Love and Terrence Ross when free agency begins on June 30th.

Veteran help

Although the trio of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton—if he re-signs—is as formidable a trio as any in the entire Association, it’s evident that injuries to any of the “Big 3” may derail the Bucks’ title aspirations. This was made clear this past season when Middleton played in just 33 games while Giannis missed two of the five games in the first round.

That said, a report by Sam Amico of Hoops Wire mentioned that the Bucks might be keeping tabs on the availability of Kevin Love and Terrence Ross.

Can still ball

The 34-year-old may no longer be the imposing inside presence he once was earlier in his career, but he remains a credible floor spacer, capable of drilling three-pointers when given the opportunity. On a squad that employs the Greek Freak and Khris Middleton, Love’s ability to stretch the floor is invaluable.

Ross, on the other hand, is a veteran scorer who can help supplement the bench’s offense. This past season, he averaged 8.3 points and shot 37 percent from beyond the arc. Any team would benefit from his firepower off the bench.
