The Milwaukee Bucks added to the woes of the Detroit Pistons by pulling off a dominant 146-114 win on Saturday night at the Fiserv Forum.

The Bucks dominated the match from start to finish, easily securing their third-straight win while sending the Pistons to their 23rd consecutive loss.

Big night for Bobby

Damian Lillard scored 33 points, while Bobby Portis Jr. had his best offensive game as a Milwaukee player with a season-high 31 points.

Portis also had a season-high 12 rebounds. His 31-point output was his highest since joining the Bucks in 2020.

Coming off a career-high 64-point output, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored just 22 points on a 7-for-9 shooting from the field.

The Greek Freak didn’t have to do much as the Bucks took total control of the match after ending the first quarter with a 43-20 lead.

The outcome of the two squads’ second meeting in the season was a stark contrast to their first duel, where the Bucks barely escaped the Pistons, 120-118.

Staying atop the East

In their first meeting, Detroit was able to lead by as many as 10 points. The second encounter was an all-Milwaukee show that saw the Bucks led by as many as 34 points.

With the win, Milwaukee remained tied with the Philadelphia 76ers at second place in the Eastern Conference standings with identical 18-7 records.

The Sixers scored their own easy win on the same night as they thrashed the Charlotte Hornets, 136-82.

Cade Cunningham scored 25, while Bojan Bogdanovic had 24 for the Pistons, who further sank to the bottom of the East team standings with a dismal 2-24 record.

Detroit’s streak of 23 losses matched the NBA’s third-longest slide within the same season.

The Pistons are just three-straight losses away from tying the longest losing streak in a single season. The record for the longest losing streak within a single season is shared by the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2013-14 76ers, who both endured 26 successive losses.

Adrian Griffin calls Bobby Portis Jr. the team’s “heart and soul”
