Milwaukee Bucks and NBA fans, in general, may have gotten used to the eye-popping plays that two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo regularly pulls off that they may fail to recognize just how unique and uncommon the man is. Bucks assistant coach Vin Baker, who has seen Giannis work on his craft for countless hours behind closed doors, asserts that the Greek Freak is definitely a “one-of-one.”

Never seen before

There have been other unique players in the NBA. There was the prodigious Kevin Garnett, the otherworldly Michael Jordan, and the savant-like Steve Nash. However, “The Greek Freak” is a phenomenon that has never before been seen in the league. Antetokounmpo stands at 6’11", yet he moves with dexterity like a point guard and handles like an All-Star guard. He creates plays that no one else can make and can guard practically every position on the court with ease.

“He's one of one man. Like, this dude is one-of-one, like a 7-footer that can go baseline to baseline the entire game, we haven't seen it before, and I think people ought to start recognizing that a little bit more. This is one of one. We haven't seen it before," Baker said.

Not satisfied

While other NBA stars may have a lot on their plates during the season and especially after it, Giannis keeps it all about basketball, making him part of the rare breed of players who are solely focused on improving their craft.

"He's one of the hardest working, if not the hardest working superstar I've ever been around and ever seen. So, it's just really great to see how he's progressing. He continues to improve each year. It's really special to watch. He's a special basketball player, but even more importantly, he's a special person," Baker added.
