In this story:

With only one selection in the upcoming NBA draft compounded by scarce assets, the Milwaukee Bucks have limited options to infuse some youth into their aging lineup.

But there’s a more realistic and cheaper way that the Bucks can turn to as they could bring in youthful talent next season.

It might be the perfect time for the Bucks to tap deadly shooter Hugo Besson, the player that they acquired from the Indiana Pacers in the 2022 Draft.

Besson, a native of Angers, France, was picked by the Pacers as the 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, but his rights were immediately traded to the Bucks.

Honing his skills overseas

Besson played for the Bucks in the 2022 NBA Summer League but did not make the regular-season roster and was sent overseas.

The six-foot-five guard then signed with the Metropolitans 92 in the LNB Pro A.

The Bucks paraded the oldest roster the past season, and bringing in Besson, who just turned 22, will somehow solve that issue.

With his shot-making ability and his impeccable outside shooting, Besson would certainly complement Giannis Antetokounmpo, who, most of the time, commands multiple defenders with his dominant inside plays.

Besson has turned into a prolific scorer for the Metropolitans 92. In the past seasons, Besson was good for 12.6 points a game anchored on 50.8% shooting from the field, including 35.6% and 85.5% clips from three-point and free-throw areas, respectively.

High time to bring in Besson

Those shooting percentages were Besson’s new career highs.

It is also timely to bring in Besson as Milwaukee’s new head coach Adrian Griffin specializes in player development.

Besson, together with MarJon Beauchamp, A.J. Green, and the Bucks’ selection in the upcoming Draft, would get much-needed tutoring from Griffin.

The Bucks will be picking 58th in the upcoming Draft.
