Pat Connaughton and his girlfriend, soccer player Ryan Gareis, are taking their relationship a notch higher. The couple took to social media on Wednesday to announce their engagement.

"Always (infinity symbol) Forever," read Gareis’ Instagram post showing Connaughton proposing to his girlfriend.

Early this year, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby. It was also through social media that Pat and Ryan went public with their relationship in June 2023.

Connaughton is one of the reliable reserves of the Milwaukee Bucks. The 31-year-old guard has already played 50 games this season, averaging 5.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 21.3 minutes of action per outing.

Pat finds success on and off the court

Pat is the 41st overall pick by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2015 NBA Draft. He joined the Bucks in 2018 and was part of the team that won the championship in 2021. Connaughton is under contract with Milwaukee until 2024-25 and has a player option for $9.4 million in 2025-26.

Aside from being an established NBA player, Pat has also become a successful businessman. He owns Three Leaf Partners, a real estate development company that operates in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Connaughton also runs a foundation that refurbishes basketball courts and gymnasiums.

The 25-year-old Gareis, on the other hand, was selected by the Houston Dash in the fourth round of the 2022 NWSL draft. The former University of South Carolina stalwart signed a three-year contract extension that will run through the 2025 season.
