Every Milwaukee Bucks Draft Pick from the Last 5 Years and Where They Are Now

Usually for a lot of teams, the NBA Draft is an exciting moment where they can draft players to help build the future for the franchise.

Regardless of the round and pick, there's talent all over the draft for team's to take. Unfortunately for the Milwaukee Bucks, they haven't had the best success when it's come to making selections in the draft.

This year, although it's still very early, it looks like the Milwaukee Bucks have made the right picks especially in the first round when they drafted Brayden Burries and Nate Ament. However, the same cannot be said for about picks they've made in the last five drafts.

Here's who the Bucks drafted in the last five drafts and where they're at now.

2021 NBA Draft: Isaiah Todd

With the No. 31 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft , the Bucks selected Isaiah Todd from the NBA G League Ignite. Todd spent one season with the Ignite and averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 36.2% from the 3-point line.

Milwaukee decided to trade his draft rights to the Indiana Pacers, where the Pacers would trade him again to the Washington Wizards.

Todd did not spend a lot of time in the NBA and only appeared in 18 games for the Wizards in two seasons where he averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds. He bounced around the G League playing for the Capital City Go-Go for two seasons and returned to the the Ignite for the 2023-24 season.

He would also play two years overseas in Lithuania for Siauliai in the Lithuanian Basketball League and Morphou in the Cypriot Division A in Cyprus. Recently, he returned to the G League for the 2025-26 season and played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for three games.

2022 NBA Draft: MarJon Beauchamp

Milwaukee drafted another player from the G League Ignite and selected MarJon Beauchamp with No. 24 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Beauchamp was hopefully going to be a depth piece for the Bucks after they fell short to the Boston Celtics to the Eastern Conference Semifinals in seven games. He spent three seasons with Milwaukee where he struggled to find minutes consistently in the rotation and only averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 126 games.

On the 2025 NBA trade deadline, the Bucks traded Beauchamp to the Los Angeles Clippers for Kevin Porter Jr. He would be waived by the Clippers a few weeks later after only appearing in three games and signed with the New York Knicks on a two-way NBA contract where he would appear in six games.

He started the 2025-26 season by signing a Exhibit 10 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers where he was eventually waived and joined with their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. In his time with the Blue Coats, he averaged 23.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 48.3% from the field and 37% from the 3-point line.

In December of 2025, he signed a two-way contract with the 76ers and had the best tenure of his career. Though it was only 14 games, he averaged 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game on 43.4% shooting from the field and 34% from the 3-point line.

2023 NBA Draft: Chris Livingston

In 2023, the Bucks drafted Chris Livingston with the No. 58 pick from Kentucky. Livingston also had a small tenure in Milwaukee where he only appeared in 42 games in two years and averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.

He spent majority of his time in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd where in 39 games he averaged 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds.

He was waived two separate times with the Bucks with the last being in October in 2025 right before the season started. Livingston signed a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and their G League affiliate after being waived by the Bucks.

Though he didn't play much with Cavaliers, he did get opportunities with the Cleveland Charge before being waived by the organization. The Iowa Wolves claimed him off waivers and traded him to the Washington Wizards affiliate the Capital City Go-Go where he would perform well averaging 20.4 points and 8.1 rebounds in 16 games.

He recently played for the Wizards in the summer league and averaged 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in five games.

2024 NBA Draft: AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith

AJ Johnson

Before the Bucks drafted Burries and Ament, AJ Johnson was Milwaukee's last first-round draft pick after being selected with the No. 23 pick in 2024 NBA Draft.

Johnson was an intriguing prospect coming overseas from the National Basketball League with the Illawarra Hawks at the age of 19 years old old. He made headlines only averaging 2.8 points in 25 games with the Hawks, but the Bucks still decide to draft him.

He was a raw prospect standing at 6-foot-5 with a good skill set despite having a smaller frame and was going to take some years to develop for Milwaukee. However, his time was extremely short as he only appeared in seven games before he was traded to Washington with Khris Middleton and a 2028 first-round pick swap in a three-team trade were the Bucks received Kyle Kuzma, Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Jericho Sims.

He spent two seasons with the Wizards where he appeared in 47 games and averaged 5.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. In 2026, he was traded on the trade deadline to the Dallas Mavericks with Middleton, Marvin Bagley III, Malaki Branham, two first-round draft picks and three second-round picks for Anthony Davis D'Angelo Russell, Jaden Hardy and Dante Exum.

After appearing in 23 games and averaging 3.9 points per game, he was traded in July to the Memphis Grizzlies with Isaiah Stewart and Russell in a six-team trade where he would play for his fourth team.

Tyler Smith

In the second round of the draft, the Bucks followed Johnson by selecting their third G League Ignite player in four years by drafting Tyler Smith with the No. 33 pick.

Smith had a solid season with the Ignite before declaring for the NBA Draft as he averaged 13.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 47.6% from the field and 36.4% from the 3-point line.

On a team that had two lottery picks in Ron Holland II and Matas Buzelis, Smith was the fifth leading scorer. He was one of those player who could fit on any team as a potential player standing at 6-foot-9, with a 7-foot-1 wingspan and could knock down the three on solid efficiency.

Like Johnson, Smith's time in Milwaukee was sparse. He only appeared in 23 games for the Bucks where he averaged 2.9 points per game, but spent majority of his time playing for the Herd and averaged 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.

In 2025, Smith was waived in October by Milwaukee and bounced around the G League playing for the Go-Go and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers after he signed a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets.

His performances with the Vipers caught the eyes of the Mavericks organization where he signed another two-way contract in March. He appeared in 12 games for Dallas where he averaged 4.7 points per game, while also playing in six games for the G League affiliate for the Texas Legends.

He was recently waived by the Mavericks in July and is now a unrestricted free agent.

2025 NBA Draft: Bogoljub Markovic

Lastly in last year's draft, the Bucks selected Bogoljub Markovic with the No. 47 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Markovic was drafted from Serbia where he played for KK Mega Bemax in the ABA League for the last two seasons., and the Bucks stashed him and continued to let him to play in Serbia to develop before joining the team.

That extra year paid off for Markovic as he won the ABA league MVP for the 2025-26 season, as he averaged 18.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 blocks per game.

He finally signed four-year, $9.3 million deal with Milwaukee in July and joined the team to play in this year's summer league. In the seven games he appeared in, he averaged 10.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

He will play in his first year with the Bucks next season.
