Chicago Bulls injury report: Andre Drummond, Javonte Green, Tony Bradley vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Chicago Bulls' bench will miss two players when they battle the red-hot Brooklyn Nets at the United Center on Wednesday. Energetic forward Javonte Green will be sidelined due to right knee soreness, while Tony Bradley will miss the game for personal reasons.
Green continues to battle knee issues
Green's knee troubles continue to plague him this season. Green, who is averaging 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 16 minutes this season, has already missed nine games, including the last two — both of which were losses against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Although his numbers leave a lot to be desired, Green's hustle and energy off the bench are missed by a Chicago team that is struggling with consistency all season long.
Meanwhile, Bradley has hardly played at all this season. He's appeared in just nine games, averaging a little over two minutes per contest.
Andre Drummond expected to play
The Bulls, though, expect reserve center Andre Drummond to play despite a left shoulder sprain. The Bulls need every bit of rim protection against a Nets team that has won 12 games in a row. With deadly scorers Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the Nets, the Bulls will need some big bodies to protect the rim and keep their opponents off-balance.
The absence of Green could mean additional minutes for Coby White and Alex Caruso. It's a tough spot for the Bulls to be in against the hottest teams in the league, but they will grit it out to try and turn their subpar season around.
