Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks - GAME DAY PREVIEW
Are the Chicago Bulls for real? The answer to this question will be revealed Monday night as the Bulls visit the Fiserv Forum for a match against Central Division rivals Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bulls are riding the crest of a four-game winning streak that has improved their standing to 9-14, good for 12th in the Eastern Conference. However, the team faces a tough test in a Bucks squad that will no doubt be looking for payback after a 120-113 defeat in overtime when these two squads last met back on December 1.
Efficient basketball
The improvement of the Bulls’ play has curiously coincided with the absence of All-Star guard Zach LaVine, who’s expected to be sidelined for nearly a month as he recovers from an injured foot. The Bulls have been scoring efficiently over this four-game stretch, in large part due to their ball movement, which has, more often than not, found the open man.
The Bulls are averaging 119.0 points per game, shooting 47 percent from the field, including 42 percent from beyond the arc. The most telling stat is the assist story, as the team has racked up 28.5 assists per night over the last four matches.
“There are a lot more actions. It’s not one action, pass, and the ball gets stagnant,” said forward Patrick Williams.
Caruso is questionable to play
Defensive ace Alex Caruso has been listed as questionable to play after injuring his ankle and failing to finish their last game against the San Antonio Spurs. Caruso played a key role in their win over the Bucks in early December, as he made the buzzer-beating triple that sent the game to overtime.
