The Chicago Bulls (10-14) host the Dallas Mavericks (13-12) tonight, looking to win their second straight game.

Lonzo Ball is still out for the Bulls with a knee injury. Javonte Green (right knee soreness) is listed as questionable.

Chicago Bulls starting lineup:

C: Nikola Vucevic

PF: Patrick Williams

SF: DeMar DeRozan

SG: Zach LaVine

PG: Alex Caruso

Will Green play against the Mavericks?

Javonte Green, who was moved into the starting lineup for the first time this season in the game against the Warriors on December 2, missed Sunday’s visit to Sacramento and Wednesday’s home game against the Wizards with right knee soreness.

Green has missed just those two games this season; he’s been a defensive disruptor and a consistent source of energy in a role the Bulls give him. The reserve forward is averaging 6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1 steal in 16.4 minutes over 22 games, shooting 58.6 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range.

The intangibles the 29-year-old brings to the court helped him become the Bulls’ starting power forward against the Warriors, and he’ll likely slot back in that role once he returns. Green was able to get through a full practice yesterday.

The Bulls hope Green will be able to play against the Mavericks—the fact he was able to get through a full practice yesterday makes them even more optimistic. In case he's out, Patrick Williams will see an increased role for the Bulls as they look to secure their second straight win.
