The Chicago Bulls may not be done improving their roster just yet. News emerged that the team recently attended a private workout with former NBA players Dion Waiters and Harry Giles. Bulls insider Daniel Greenberg relayed the development via twitter.

The question now is, did the two do enough to convince the Bulls they could bring value to the team? Waiters' last stint in the league was with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, while Giles last suited up in 2021 for the Portland Trail Blazers.

Waiters eager to return to the NBA

Waiters, now 31, recently spoke to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and expressed a desire to play in the NBA once again. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is capable of putting up points. However, his last season ended in tumultuous fashion as the former Syracuse star got suspended by the Heat for numerous infractions before getting traded to Memphis. The eight-year-pro was soon waived and then picked up by the Lakers.

In the interview, Waiters said he has turned a new leaf and can still add value to any team who gives him another shot.

"I'm healthy. I just want that opportunity just to show I'm not who I once was," Waiters said. "And I know a lot of people talk about that, but for me, I think it's more about showing that I've changed. That's why I'm here, man. I still got that love. I still got that itch."

"I know I can still help a team win at the highest level on the court and even in the locker room as a veteran presence. So why not just give it a go and just see what happens? You never know," he added.

Athletic big man

Giles, meanwhile, still has a lot of playing years left in him. He is a 6-foot-11 big man who has a game tailor-made for today's NBA. The 25-year-old can run the floor and shoot threes, and he possesses an athletic ability with a soft touch that could make him a real force in the paint. It remains to be seen if he can take the next step and become a real difference-maker in the league, but it could be worth taking a gamble on him.

"So I think this last year, I've been getting the spark back, I've been getting the fire back up under me. I'm confident. I'm healthy and I feel good again. But I just want them to leave here knowing, 'He looks good, he's ready, he's excited, he's confident and he's ready for another chance,'" Giles said in a talk with FOX40's Sean Cunningham.
