"Amazing" - Coby White continues All-Star play, heaps praise from DeMar DeRozan
The Chicago Bulls might have seen their four-game winning skid coming to an end, but what matters the most for them now is Coby White's continues to shine. He again performed beyond expectations and willed the Bulls to a strong fight against the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.
Even in the losses, White wowed many with his maintained prolific play. He was also deadly from beyond the line and is getting more confident in his abilities and shooting with each game. In the last five Bulls games, White has been more than astounding and is one of the main reasons for Chicago's improved play.
Purely talented
All of his coaches and teammates within the Bulls are well aware of White's continuing blaze, most importantly DeMar DeRozan. With Zach LaVine out due to foot issues, Deebo couldn't be happier to temporarily rely on White as his right-hand man in leading Chicago.
"Amazing," DeRozan said. "He can do more too. I'm just happy people are starting to see how talented and how much of a competitor he is. I worked out with him all summer. Just to see how much he wants it, how much he asks questions, how humble he is about the approach. It's amazing to be his teammate and see his growth.”
Maintain focus
Meanwhile, White is capitalizing on the confidence he's been feeling within himself after a passive season start
“I’m just hoopin’,” White noted. “At the end of the day, I feel like the start of the season. The only difference is between now and back then, one is my level of comfort I have in the offense, and two I didn’t hit shots the beginning of the year. That’s really the only difference. I feel like I was doing a lot of other things at the beginning of the year. I just didn’t hit as many shots as I wanted to. I don’t know how many games (lately) I’ve been hitting shots.”
