The Chicago Bulls are rolling now. Winners of eight in the last 11 games, the Bulls have risen to 13-17 for the season. Veteran wingman DeMar DeRozan says the team’s success is being made possible by the chemistry they’ve built on and off the floor and their trust in one another when they’re on it.

Coming together

The Bulls took down the San Antonio Spurs, 114-95, on Thursday night for their third straight win. After a miserable start where nothing went their way, DeRozan said they’re now figuring things out, and the results speak for themselves.

“We’re coming together, figuring out a lot of things we were struggling with early on. Figuring out how to create shots, play-make. We had all the right intentions at the beginning of the season; things just weren't going our way,” said DeRozan, who had 21 points, five assists, and four rebounds versus the Spurs.

Get out of the hole

Despite their recent winning run, the Bulls remain out of the playoff picture. There’s work to be done, but Deebo is confident the team is up to the challenge, especially with their newfound comfort in playing with one another.

“I think now having the comfort, sharing the ball, not caring who does what, making it easy for one another, scrambling defensively, trying to make something happen. We’re accepting the challenge every single night,” DeRozan shared.

The veteran knows things won’t turn around overnight, but the Bulls have begun a resurgence that has the Windy City buzzing for the first time since 2021.

“We’re trying to get out of this hole we dug ourselves (5-14), and the only way is one game at a time,” said DeRozan.

“As long as you stick with it and stay consistent and persistent (we believed) it would turn.”
