To say that Pat Beverley has made a profound impact on the Chicago Bulls ever since his arrival last month would be an understatement. Although his numbers do not jump off the page, his teammates, especially DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, are well aware of what the fiery guard brings to the team every single day, whether it's in practice or do-or-die games like the one they have on Friday against the Miami Heat.

Authenticity is unmatched

Speaking on NBA Today, DeRozan was asked about how Pat Bev's presence and aggressive approach have helped turn things around for the Bulls. Deebo answered that his authenticity helps drive the team forward to what they hope would be a spot in the Playoffs.

"Everything you see about Pat, that's Pat 24/7. He sleeps aggressively," DeRozan said.

"Pat is Pat," LaVine chimed in as the team was on their way to Miami for their do-or-die Play-in game against the Heat.

Against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, Beverley's numbers were muted—3 points, 3 rebounds, a steal, a block, and an assist—but nevertheless, his impact was key, as his three-pointer from the corner gave the Bulls the lead at the halfway point of the fourth after trailing by 19, 66-47, early in the third.

Play-in king

Some might say that Beverley is the king of the Play-in, as he helped the Minnesota Timberwolves secure the 7th seed with a Play-in game victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. After that intense win over his former team, Beverley jumped on the scorer's table, ripped his jersey off, and celebrated with the raucous crowd.

Such is the undeniable passion of Pat Bev, who will always leave it all on the court. His leadership and tenacity have been a great boost to whatever team he plays for, and his veteran presence is invaluable in today's NBA. With the Chicago Bulls finishing off the regular season strong and now inching their way into the Playoffs, Beverley's contributions cannot be overlooked as a key factor in their success.
