DeMar DeRozan remains one of the names to keep an eye on as a potential participant in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis.

On Thursday, the league announced the second round of fan voting, in which the Chicago Bulls star remained in the Top 10. He is ranked tenth in the East's frontcourt, having received 255,906 votes.

Deebo drops a step in his ASG bid

It was a slight dip for Compton native as he previously occupied the ninth spot of the East in the first fan vote returns of the All-Star Game last Jan. 4.

In the past three games, Deebo's offensive numbers saw a significant decrease. He just averaged 18.0 points in 40 percent shooting, but his playmaking has been stellar with 5.7 dimes. Nevertheless, the star swingman’s productions were critical as this three-game stretch went unblemished with an impressive 3-0 mark — allowing the Bulls to solidify their place in the Conference’s ninth seed with an 18-21 card.

Still more time for DeRozan

NBA’s fan voting returns are released every Thursday until the Jan. 20 cutoff. With that being said, Deebo still has plenty more time to improve his case from the fans, which can help him secure his seventh All-Star selection in his career.

For 37 games of play this year, DeMar is averaging 22.0 points, 5.4 assists and 3.4 boards. Throughout these appearances, he's been there through the team's ups and downs. But more importantly, he served as the leader in the Bulls' gradual recovery last December after a poor season start.

The Bulls are set to play the Golden State Warriors at home on Friday before leaving for a three-game road trip that concludes against the Toronto Raptors next Thursday. From there, we can finally see if the third fan voting returns have favored DeMar’s All-Star campaign this year.
