NBA free agency is upon us, and with it comes a flurry of activity that may change the league's landscape next season and for the years to come. On their end, the Chicago Bulls appear to have decided which path they'll tread on, as they have already re-signed starting center Nikola Vucevic and have forwarded qualifying offers to guards Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White. All of this means that the Bulls are looking to bring back most of the same parts from the team that missed the NBA Playoffs this past season.

Some fans and experts have long batted for the Bulls to push the reset button on this roster, but the Bulls' brass doesn't seem interested in it. Still, Bleacher Report put together a tempting mock trade that makes Chicago younger and more athletic.

An epic trade

It is a trade that is preposterous as it is epic and it involves three squads. This scenario, put together by Andy Bailey, sends DeMar DeRozan and Draymond Green to the Portland Trail Blazers, Jusuf Nurkic, Patrick Williams, Shaedon Sharpe, and an unprotected first-round pick to the Golden State Warriors. At the same time, the Bulls acquire Anfernee Simons, Jonathan Kuminga, and an unprotected first-round pick from Portland.

Addresses many needs

The Bulls don't have a lead guard right now, with Lonzo Ball not expected to be on an NBA court any time soon. Simon's arrival could help address that issue. While the 24-year-old is not a point guard, he is still young enough to develop sound playmaking habits. He's just coming off a season where he averaged 21.1 points and 4.1 assists while shooting 37 percent from three.

Kuminga, on the other hand, is definitely a star in the making and could be Chicago's missing piece in a rebuild. The 20-year-old was a top-five pick due to his impressive blend of size and speed, which allows him to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. He could potentially become an elite defender with time and development.
