The Chicago Bulls' catastrophic defeat against the Brooklyn Nets this Sunday just adds another layer to the franchise’ concerning picture to start the season. After going up by as much as 21 in the first quarter, the Bulls squandered their deficit and allowed the Nets to fire a season-best 25 three-pointers en route to a 118-109 victory.

The Bulls fans can only gasp seeing their beloved squad falling once again in a saddening display. Chicago has nowhere to go but be realistic about their present state and rise through the pressure of their horrifying 5-13 record so far.

Unity in chaos

Even Nikola Vucevic wasn't able to hide his embattled thoughts about the Bulls’ ongoing crash to the depths of the league ladder considering that they set high expectations for themselves prior to the season entry.

Like any else within the Chicago locker room, the star big man can only promote unity and resilience within their campaign as they are set to get deeper and feel excruciating urgency to win out of their losing slumps.

"It is tough when you’re 5-13. It’s not what we expected,” Vucevic said after wounding up a disappointing six markers against the small-ball Nets team. “six lowly points against the Nets’ small-ball team. “But it’s the reality of it and we have to face it. The only way out of it is we stick together and try to find a way to turn it around. It’s not going to be easy. Our schedule doesn’t get any easier either.”

Now is the time

As Vucevic has stated, the Bulls’ upcoming battles won't be just a piece of cake to approach with.

Per Tankathon, Chicago has the 10th strongest schedule left so far this year. Their next two matches on the plate are daunting – facing two Eastern Conference heavyweights in the form of the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The season continues to advance but their season rally is yet to see a significant move forward. It is truly now up to the Bulls if they are indeed determined to revive themselves out of diversities or continue to get swallowed by mediocrity and inconsistencies.
