Chicago Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic had an off-night as his national team, Montenegro, stumbled against Slovenia, 104-100, in a tuneup game intended to get both teams ready in time for the 2023 FIBA World Cup in Manila, Philippines, later this month.

Rough night

Vooch, who recently signed a three-year extension with the Bulls reportedly worth $60 million, made three of his 12 attempts from the field. Despite his shooting struggles, he still finished with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Also of note was Vucevic's playmaking, as he helped his teammates score easy buckets to end up with six assists. While Vooch had a rough night, his teammates picked up the slack. Vladimir Mihailovic had 26 points, and Dino Radoncic pitched in 21.

Luka magic

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was his usual dominant self as he tallied his second triple-double in a week, compiling 34 points, 14 assists, and 13 rebounds. Apart from the stellar numbers, Doncic came up with a clutch three-pointer with under a minute to go that gave Slovenia the lead for good. His teammate Klemen Prepelic then sealed the victory with four free throws down the stretch.
