Pat Beverley praises the Chicago Bulls' energy of late - "Chicago has been a vibe, man"

Pat Bev has helped turn things around in the Windy City.

Chicago Bulls guard Pat Beverley almost always seem to have the time of his life, wherever basketball takes him. The latest stop in his hometown of Chicago has been no different as he has helped spark a Bulls' charge that has brought them into the play-in tournament picture.

In his latest podcast, the veteran guard shared that he's enjoying his time in the Windy City, saying, "Chicago has been a vibe man."

Resurgence

Chicago entered the All-Star break with a six-game losing streak. It appeared as if the team was out of it, their body language and demeanor suggesting they had given up. However, when the team signed Beverley after he got bought out by the Orlando Magic, the team's fortunes suddenly shifted. With Beverley bringing his trademark intensity and leadership to the Bulls, they have gone 5-3 since acquiring him.

"The team, the organization man, the coaching staff, I mean everything man. It's been a vibe. I've been really happy," said Beverley.

Positive impact on Zach LaVine

More than his all-around numbers—5.9 points, 4.1 assists, 6.4 rebounds—Beverley's impact on his teammates has been immense. LaVine, the Bulls' best player and leader, has seen a resurgence in his play since Beverley arrived. LaVine is scoring 30.4 points per game on 54% including 45% from beyond the arc over his last 10 games, and is a huge reason why Chicago is climbing up the standings.

"He is cold. He is so nice and is so effortless and it looks so nice. I'm not doing anything but just telling him keep being aggressive," added Beverley.

LaVine has likewise welcomed what Beverley brings to the table every single night, saying, "All energy. All heart. All toughness. He has been very vocal with us. He has been great."
