Alex Caruso might have found himself back in the lineup, but Torrey Craig’s recent entry to the team's injury list immediately adds the latest concern for the Chicago Bulls.

In the pregame of their 108-104 statement victory against the Philadelphia 76ers, coach Billy Donovan stated that Craig has a sore right heel and won’t have a timetable of return available yet.

Donovan insisted that the team will re-evaluate the condition of Torrey once they finally go home upon concluding their three-game road trip this Monday

‘‘He just has, like, a lot of discomfort in his heel, and they just wanted to make sure that they get the prognosis correct before they did any imaging or anything like that,’’ Donovan said. ‘‘Have him back there with our people.’’

Origin of TC’s injury

With the injury, Craig was announced out of action in the Bulls’ clash against the Sixers. This marked the first time he missed a game this regular season.

The origin of his heel injury can be traced to Chicago's Saturday matchup vs. Miami Heat. He was already heating up for the best performance of his season with 16 points off the bench, but Torrey suddenly left the game before halftime after awkwardly landing his right foot.

Significance of Torrey’s injury

The Bulls can only hope that TC sustained a minor heel issue considering that they'll face the Los Angeles Lakers up next on Wednesday.

With the Lakers boasting both LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Torrey would be a vital piece and enforcer for Chicago. His versatility, defense, and reliability are huge in hopes of containing the L.A.’s superstar pairing at the frontcourt.

Though the Bulls managed to withstand the 76ers without him, Craig will remain crucial in the team's dynamics as they move along.
