What can the Chicago Bulls do to return to winning ways?

For lack of a better term, the Chicago Bulls are in trouble.

The team has lost five of their last six games, including three in a row. Their last two losses have been particularly painful, with the Bulls getting blown out by the Denver Nuggets at home and the New Orleans Pelicans on the road. Although Bulls head coach Billy Donovan is not raising any alarm bells yet, it's clear that the team needs to change things.

Make some changes to the starting five?

Undoubtedly, Goran Dragic is the team's craftiest option at point guard. Sophomore Ayo Dosunmu has embraced the starting role and is posting solid numbers of 11.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

Nonetheless, the Bulls may want to consider inserting Dragic into the starting lineup to place another credible outside shooting threat at the point guard spot.

After all, Dosunmu's shooting 33% from deep, while the Slovenian is making nearly 45% of his three-pointers this season on over three attempts per game. As it stands, the Bulls need to shore up their three-point shooting numbers as they rank 27th in three-pointers made per game at 10.4 and 28th in three-point attempts at 29.

Get Lonzo back

Little has been said of late about the status of Lonzo Ball. After undergoing a second surgery on his troublesome knee last September, the point guard has yet to make his season debut for Chicago.

It's uncertain when Ball will return, but the thought of him being in the lineup could spark the Bulls. He brings added athleticism and playmaking ability, not to mention a hellacious presence on defense.

In a season that's becoming increasingly difficult, the Bulls could use some of Ball's court vision and verve. Getting him back in action sooner rather than later is almost imperative for the team to turn things around.
