The Chicago Bulls are still looking for a suitable suitor for their star guard Zach LaVine. They are seeking for a team that will offer them a good package and assets to help them overcome mediocrity.

While the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and New York Knicks have all appeared as prospective landing destinations for him in the past, the Bulls star has reportedly indicated interest in playing for a growing Western Conference powerhouse.

LaVine as a King?

LaVine has his eyes glowing about the possibility of being in Sac-town amid the rumored Klutch linking he has in Los Angeles.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Zach finds it “very amenable” to deal a trade that sends him to the Sacramento Kings wherein he'll get paired with franchise cornerstone De'Aaron Fox at the backcourt.

“For all the public focus on the prospect of James and Davis teaming up with Zach LaVine with the Lakers, the overlooked part is that Kings star De’Aaron Fox is a major priority for Klutch Sports these days as well. Per league sources, LaVine would be very amenable to a Sacramento move that would make him Fox’s backcourt mate.”

What will it require?

LaVine's intention of being a King makes sense. Sacramento is on the rise as one of the most electrifying teams in the NBA, and going all in hypothetically for the star shooter who averages over 20 points this season gives them another piece that they can add to their championship puzzle.

But at the end of the day, it all boils down if the Kings are truly interested in acquiring the two-time All-Star. Zach is currently in the second season of a five-year, $215 million contract and is making $40.1 million this 2023-24. It would require the Kings to match his hefty contract and might have to consider dumping the promising Keegan Murray to appease the Bulls’ desired return.

For now, it remains yet to be seen if there will be a desperate team that will show utmost interest in trading LaVine. With the star guard still out for a few more weeks due to his foot soreness, his value truly resides at the depths of the league marketplace.
