The relationship between once-close Chicago Bulls teammates Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen has gone from bad to worse over the last few years. His Airness' recent statement about the relationship of his son, Marcus Jordan, and Pippen's ex-wife, Larsa, will not help mend their strained relationship as the NBA legend emphatically expressed his thoughts on the matter with just one word.

Jordan in Paris

Jordan was seen in Paris, hurriedly being escorted to his car, with plenty of paparazzi present. One found the bravado to ask Jordan if he approved of his son's relationship with Larsa Pippen. To that, Jordan shouted back a robust "no!"

Marcus and Larsa raised eyebrows when they began dating in 2022. This was certainly awkward for His Airness as Larsa was previously married to Scottie—the man Jordan won six NBA titles with.

Relationship beyond repair

This development may certainly push Jordan and Scottie's relationship beyond repair. The roots of their rift are unclear, but many speculate it began when the documentary about the Bulls' 1997-1998 season called "The Last Dance" was shown in 2020. In Scottie's book entitled "Unguarded," Pippen was not pleased with how Jordan glossed over a lot of what happened during that season.

"They glorified Michael Jordan while not giving nearly enough praise to me and my proud teammates," Scottie wrote. "Michael deserved a large portion of the blame. The producers had granted him editorial control of the final product. The doc couldn't have been released otherwise. He was the leading man and the director."

Pippen made matters worse when he called Jordan a "horrible" player before he joined the Bulls.
