Nikola Vucevic dishes on what it’s like playing for the Chicago Bulls
Versatile big man Nikola Vucevic has been playing for the Chicago Bulls for four seasons, but he reveals that despite his long stay in the Windy City, he still gets excited listening to the team’s iconic intro.
Grew up a Michael Jordan fan
Like everybody around the world who grew up in the '90s, Vucevic was a huge fan of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He recalls watching their games with his family and being in awe of MJ’s skills on the court. Now, as a member of the team, he still feels that same childlike excitement when he hears the iconic intro music playing before every home game.
“I always love playing here at the UC (United Center) like just because of the intro itself. Like the intro, I still get hyped up by the intro,” Vooch said on the Point Forward podcast of Evan Turner and Andre Iguodala.
Loving the show of support
Despite the up-and-down campaigns the Bulls have had over the last few seasons, Vucevic reveals the team’s fans have been nothing but supportive. He loves playing for the passionate Chicago crowd and appreciates their unwavering support, especially during tough times.
“You see, like all the jerseys up there, things like that. I mean, the fans here are really into it. They're like they love the Bulls. Like every game is sold out, and wherever you go on the road,
we have fans, so that's been really fun to be part of,” Vooch shared.
“Wherever you go around the city, people love you, they support you. Like you go to restaurants, no matter how packed it is, they get you a table. Like things like that, you appreciate that. They really love the Bulls and so that's been fun for me for sure to be part of.”
