Although decades have passed since Michael Jordan last played, the adoration and enthusiasm for his memorabilia endure. This was unmistakable as fans flocked to witness the rare collection of items personally autographed by His Airness during the 43rd National Sports Collectors Card Convention held in Rosemont.

Celebration of the 25th anniversary of Jordan's last NBA title

According to Gabe Garcia, the director of Upper Deck Authenticated, the one-of-a-kind collection of items was brought to Chicago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jordan's last NBA title with the Chicago Bulls in 1998. That campaign—which was filled with dramatic twists and turns—was dubbed "The Last Dance" as Jordan played his final season in Chicago.

"We're here to celebrate Michael Jordan's 25th anniversary of his last championship and really just want to showcase a lot of the great authentic memorabilia," Garcia said.

Incredible items

Fans of the GOAT had the chance to not just be in awe of signed shoes, basketballs, and photos but also have the chance to buy these items. However, the memorabilia certainly did not come cheap as items were priced at anywhere between $8,000 to as much as $30,000. Garcia, though, assured everyone that these items were as authentic as can be.

"Michael's been working with Upper Deck for 30 plus years so you can feel safe, that these autographed pieces are real, they're authentic," Garcia shared.
