Versatile forward Scottie Pippen spent most of his career living in the shadow of his more celebrated Chicago Bulls teammate, Michael Jordan. However, Pip finally got the chance to showcase what he could do on his own during the 1993-1994 season when Jordan retired for the first time.

One of Pippen's standout moments came during a playoff game against their hated rivals, the New York Knicks, when he drove hard to the basket and soared high to dunk over Patrick Ewing.

Most disrespectful dunks of all time

The date was May 20, 1994, and the Bulls were battling the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Chicago was in a must-win situation following a controversial 87-86 loss in Game 5 at Madison Square Garden. The Bulls responded in a forceful way, getting the jump on the Knicks from the get-go en route to a 93-79 victory that tied the series up at 3-3.

After getting tagged with the foul that led to Hubert Davis' game-winning free-throws in Game 5, Pippen got some payback after he received a beautiful bounce pass from Pete Myers in transition, took off, and threw down a vicious slam dunk over Patrick Ewing.

Adding insult to injury

Pippen, though, wasn't done as he proceeded to shove Ewing to the ground and stood over him, relishing the moment. He earned a technical foul for the theatrics and then went over to Knicks superfan Spike Lee and told him to "sit down."

Though the Bulls won that battle, they would eventually lose the war as the Knicks defeated them in Game 7, 87-77. Despite the result, Pippen would always have that one moment in Game 6 where he created an iconic dunk in NBA history.
