The Boston Celtics traded center Aron Baynes and the No. 24 overall draft pick to the Phoenix Suns for the Milwaukee Bucks' 2020 first-round pick, according to multiple reports.

The Suns used the 24th selection on Virginia guard Ty Jerome.

They picked up the option on Baynes' contract last week, informing him at the time that a trade may be looming.

Baynes signed on with the Celtics in the 2017-18 season, then re-signed for two years and $10.7 million last summer. He struggled with injuries this past year, but was solid in 51 games, averaging 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds and providing a strong presence underneath the basket.

The Suns acquired the 2020 pick from the Bucks via the Eric Bledsoe trade last season.
