Fans who have watched the Cavs closely this season may have noticed that there seems to be something missing from their offense. Even when Cleveland is winning games there still seems to be an area that could be improved upon.

This comes down to the lack of catch-and-shoot players that the Cavs have.

There are plenty of players who are able to create their own shots. This includes the guard of Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, and Caris LeVert. Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen can hold their own in the paint and score on defenders.

But there's more than just individual players who can score to have a successful basketball team.

There are a few players who could qualify as the catch-and-shoot type such as Kevin Love and Garland. Love is definitely the player who gets the most production out of catch-and-shoot the most. He averages 4.3 points and 4.3 field goal attempts a game.

After K-Love the Cavs don't have any more players who thrive off of catch-and-shoot. Garland, Mitchell, and Cedi Osman all average just over three attempts a game and just under three points.

If Cleveland is able to acquire another player who is able to shoot immediately off of passes from Garland, Ricky Rubio, or Mitchell then they'll add another dimension to their offense.

This is something fans should have in mind as the NBA trade deadline rapidly approaches.
