Caris LeVert, Sam Merrill Final Injury Status For Cavs-Bulls
Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, and the list of injuries/inactive for the Cleveland Cavaliers keeps going. The Wine and Gold had a couple of other names join the injury report before their matchup with the Chicago Bulls on top of that trio who have already been ruled out.
Caris LeVert and Sam Merrill have been listed as questionable leading up to the game, but their final statuses have been revealed.
Caris LeVert
The Cavaliers are thin at the guard position making Caris LeVert a key piece to the team's success. However, he was listed as questionable with left knee tendonitis because of their games against the Bulls.
LeVert will be OUT against the Bulls.
Cleveland's six-man has already missed six games this season with a variety of minor injuries. Overall, he's played pretty well when in the lineup. LeVert is averaging 15.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists this season.
Sam Merrill
Sam Merrill emerged as a spark of the bench as J.B. Bickerstaff searched for anyone to help amid injuries to the rotation. Merrill was listed as questionable with a right wrist sprain (he is also a righty shooter).
We now know that he will also be OUT against Chicago.
Merrill has been huge for the Cavaliers as they search for anyone to step up. He scored 19 points against the Houston Rockets and 27 against the Utah Jazz but was scoreless against the New Orleans Pelicans and left the game with a wrist injury.
