Cavaliers’ Evan Mobley First To Record These Numbers This NBA Season

The Cleveland forward was the first NBA player to record at least 21 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks, 8-of-11 shooting, and a +26 plus/minus, while shooting at least 70% from the field in a game this season.

Last night, in the final game of their four-game road trip, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by a final score of 109-95.

While Donovan Mitchell turned in a stellar performance for the Wine and Gold, Evan Mobley had a stat line that was the first of its kind so far this season.

Mobley recorded 21 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, a game-high three blocks (tied), and a season-high +26 plus/minus, while shooting a season-best 72.7% from the field.

According to @statmuse on X, the 22-year-old became the first NBA player to record these numbers while shooting at least 70% from the field in a game this season.

The Cavaliers big man recorded his second consecutive double-double, and sixth of the season. He also scored at least 20 points for the third time this season.

Mobley got off to a strong start in the game’s opening quarter, scoring a game-high 10 first-quarter points and grabbing a game-high four first-quarter rebounds. He also made a game-high four first-quarter field goals, converting on all four of his field goal attempts in the period.

While Mobley was held to just one point in the second quarter, he ended up scoring 10 more points in the second half.

The Cavaliers’ starting power forward has taken on an increased workload in Cleveland’s first 11 games, playing more of the center position than usual.

Cavaliers starting center Jarrett Allen missed the team’s first five games due to injury, and is currently on a minutes restriction.

The Wine and Gold seek another strong performance from Mobley tomorrow night against the Detroit Pistons in their second NBA In-Season Tournament game of the season.
