The Cleveland Cavaliers made a surprise addition to their roster following last season's trade deadline. The Houston Rockets acquired the Danny Green but immediately bought out his contract making him a free agent. Cleveland took this opportunity to bring back Green after making his NBA debut with the Cavs back in 2009.

Green never was able to find a groove with the Cavs and only played in eight regular games averaging 11.9 minutes. He averaged just 6.5 points and still shot 4.8 percent from three with the Cavs The veteran guard even admitted that the sting was a little "weird."

It never quite worked out and both sides went their separate ways when free agency began at the beginning of June.

Green signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers late on Tuesday night helping increase Philly's bench depth.

The 76ers already have a deep roster so it's hard to imagine that Green will get a ton of playing time in the rotation. However, his impact can be felt even when he's not on the floor. Green has won three Finals and is considered to be one of the greatest shooters of all time.

Philadelphia will need as much veteran presence as they can get with all the uncertainty surrounding the 76ers' season. There are still many questions about the future of James Harden and if they'll even be championship contenders next season.

Green is entering his 16th but has remained consistent when on the floor. He's a career 40 percent three-point shooter averaging 8.7 points per game.
