A lot of the Cleveland Cavaliers' success and the ceiling for this team will fall on the shoulders of Evan Mobley and his development. If he can take a massive jump in his third season then the Cavs could easily be a Finals contender in 2024.

Tristan Thompson is making it his personal responsibility to make sure that Mobley takes that next step of becoming an All-Star in the league. The former NBA champion has high expectations for the next generation of talent and shared his thoughts on Mobley's potential.

"I've always been a big fan of Evan Mobley. I told him when he first got in the league I called him a young Chris Bosh, now I'm calling him young (Anthony Davis)."

Bosh and Davis are two of the best bigs in recent memory and comparing Mobley to them is already a compliment. Both of those players were incredible on the defensive end of the floor while being an offensive centerpiece for their team as well.

The next piece of the puzzle for Mobley is becoming a consistent threat with the ball and Thompson is prepared to help him get there.

"I'm going to hold him to a very high standard. I'm going, to be honest, I'm going to be on him every day because I know how great he can be."

Mobley has already made a name for himself two years into his NBA career. He's averaged 15.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks a game through his first two seasons and his stats are trending in the right direction.

Thompson doesn't want Mobley to be satisfied with his current ability because there's more untapped skill we've yet to see from him.

"He's already good, but I want him to be great."
