Darius Garland Continues To Move Up Cavaliers All-Time Three-Point List
Darius Garland is wrapping up his fourth year with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he's already cemented his name in the team's record book with his shooting from behind the arc.
On Tuesday night the Cavs matched up with the Brooklyn Nets in the first of back-to-back games between the two teams. Garland knocked down a three earlier on in the game which set a new Cavaliers record.
This three was Garland's 544th three of his career and in a Cavaliers uniform which passes legend Danny Ferry on the organization's all-time list.
Ferry played with the Cavs for 10 seasons in the 90s and became known as one of the team's best shooters during that time. Over that decade he shot 38 percent from behind the arc on 1.9 attempts a night. That's a far cry from the 5.8 attempts that Garland takes in a game.
DG is currently shooting the three at 42 percent this season which is a career-high for the young guard. His shooting was one of his biggest strengths coming of Vanderbilt and Garand has lived up to it being a career 39 percent shooter from behind the arc.
The Cavs are currently in the home stretch of a playoff push and if they want to make some noise in April they'll need Garland to keep shooting well from three.
