The headlines discussing, predicting, and reporting on Donovan Mitchell's future with the Cleveland Cavaliers will last all season long or until he does move onto a new team. Recently, ESPN's Brian Windhortst reported that he doesn't expect Mitchell to sign an extension with the Cavs this Summer which reignited this story.

However, Mitchell has a plan of his own his recent post on Instagram signals that he's focused on the season that's in front of him and not his future beyond it. He posted this montage of pictures and highlights from last season as training camps are just around the corner.

This post doesn't just focus on himself but also highlights his teammates such as Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley. Mitchell certainly appears excited to get the season going again.

The rumor is that once Mitchell's contract is up he will make his way to the New York Knicks so he has an opportunity to play for his hometown team. But the Cavaliers have this season to prove to him that Cleveland is the best spot for him to win.

Mitchell has certainly found success with the Cavs during his first season with the organization having a career hear in 2022-23.

He averaged a career-high 28.3 points per game while shooting .48 percent from the floor. Spida also averaged 4.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists while getting in on the defensive end with 1.5 steals.

Mitchell also was an All-Starter for the first time last season as well.

Yes, there is some uncertainty on what Cleveland's roster will look like a year from now but fans still have this season to look forward to just like Mitchell apparently is.
