Evan Mobley Shares Confidence In Cavaliers, Himself

Evan Mobley says that he's confident in the Cleveland Cavaliers heading into the season.

A lot of fans believe that the Cleveland Cavaliers' success falls on the shoulders of Evan Mobley and what his ceiling looks like in year three. He veritably still has a lot to prove.

That's a lot of pressure to put on one player, but Mobley is confident that he can be one of the best players on the floor if he focuses on what he's worked on.

"I know I can be on of the star players out here. So, just coming out here, stay confident, and do what I worked on all summer, and complete the task, and be the best I can be."

The belief that a player has in themselves is so important and Mobley's confidence comes from the best spot it can be. He knows that he'll be better this season because of the time and work he's put into his game. 

Mobley's enthusiasm heading into this season isn't solely centered around himself. He's also excited about the product his teammates and himself have put together as they sit less than a week away from Opening Night.

"I'm real confident in our team and what we've been doing in training camp leading up until now. So yeah, I'm definitely excited and ready to go."

Cleveland will be under a microscope by media, fans, and even front offices all season long. There's still so much uncertainty around Donovan Mitchell and it feels like the Cavs have to make a major playoff push in order to convince him to stick around.

A breakout season from Mobley might be the missing piece the Cavaliers need to get over that hump and that's what he's expecting from himself.
