Game Highlights: Cavs Vs. Clippers

Donovan Mitchell scores 28 points, Jarrett Allen records his 15th straight double-double, and Evan Mobley returns to the floor in the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Los Angeles Clippers 118-108.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Los Angeles Clippers 118-108 on Monday night. It was a statement win for the wine and gold who are proving that they have what it takes to compete with the NBA's top teams.

Cavaliers Vs. Clippers Highlights

Evan Mobley only played 20 minutes in his long-awaited return to the floor. He was still able to score 10 points on an efficient 71% (5-7) shooting night and also grabbed eight rebounds. There was certainly some dust to shake off as he committed three turnovers and carried a +/- of negative five, but overall it's great to have Mobley back on the floor.

The other big in the paint continued his dominant stretch. Jarrett Allen extended his double-double streak to a franchise-setting 15 games after he scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. JA's All-Star case is growing stronger each game as his resume looks more and more impressive.

Donovan Mitchell did what he normally does on any given night, he scored the basketball. Spida was Cleveland's leading scorer with 28 points as he also played a team-high 38 minutes. Just like Allen, Mitchell also recorded a double-double in the victory dishing out 12 assists, one shy of his career-high.

While Cleveland's star players shined, the same can't be said for the Clippers core players.

Paul George and James Harden combined for just 24 points while shooting 31% (6-19) from the floor. Goerge even fouled out towards the end of the fourth quarter when Los Angeles needed him the most. These performances are more representative of how well the Cavs played defense.

Next up for the Cavaliers is the Detroit Pistons who come to town on Wednesday for a divisional showdown.
