Jarrett Allen Does This For First Time As A Member Of Cavaliers

Jarrett Allen is a key piece to the Cleveland Cavaliers' success. At his best, JA is a walking double-double, a phenomenal pick-n-roll partner for the guards, and one of the better defensive big men in the NBA.
However, his performance in Monday night's loss to the Orlando Magic was not a great representation of who Allen is as a player.
JA finished the night with just four points and five rebounds in just 15:10 minutes of action. There's a reason that he played just over a quarter of action, despite the Cavaliers being down their starting power forward Evan Mobley.

Allen fouled out of the game early in the fourth quarter and watched the rest of the game in his warmup on the bench.
This is the first time that Allen has fouled out since being acquired by the Cavaliers back in January of 2021. The last time he fouled out of a game was on February 26, 2020, when he was a member of the Brooklyn Nets.
You'd think that he may pick up more fouls being such a physical player who lives in the paint but Allen is averaging just 2.8 personal fouls a game this season.
Not having JA out on the floor combined with missing Mobley hurt Cleveland on offense and the defensive end. The Cavs were outscored 36-56 in the paint and would've been outrebounded too if it weren't for a vintage performance from Tristan Thompson who grabbed 12 boards.
The Magic saw a weakness in Cleveland's defense with them being thin in the frontcourt and manipulated it. Yes, Allen needs to be smarter on the defensive end but this also exploits a massive hole in Cleveland's roster.
