Jarrett Allen's Double-Double Streak Continues In Cavaliers 118-108 Win Over Clippers

The last time Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen didn't post a double-double was four days before Christmas.
On Monday night, the streak continued as Allen produced his 15th straight double-double, finishing with 20 points and 17 rebounds, the third most he's had in a game during the streak – in a 118-108 win over the Clippers. He actually had the feat locked up before the end of the third quarter as he took a seat with 12 points and 13 rebounds with under three minutes remaining in the stanza.
Last Wednesday, Allen established a new franchise record for consecutive double-doubles when he did it for a 13th time against the Bucks. The previous mark of 12 was held by Andre Drummond during the 2020-2021 season. Now, the 25-year-old is taking the record to another level.
How Soon Will Darius Garland Be Back For The Cavs?
During that stretch, Allen is averaging 18.8 points per game, to go along with 14.1 rebounds. He's shooting a red hot 61-percent from the floor as well. The Cavaliers have also reaped the benefits of Allen's play as they've gone 12-3 over that span. That's on top of going 15-4 since both Evan Mobley and Darius Garland went down with knee and jaw injuries respectively that have kept them out of the lineup ever since.
Allen's fellow seven-footer, Mobley, made a long awaited return to the floor against Los Angeles with a minutes restriction in the 20-24 range and complimented Allen with a near double-double of his own, with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Star guard Donovan Mitchell produced a double-double of his own, racking up a team-high 28 points to go along with 12 assists.
