Three Explanations For The Cavs Blowout Win Over The Hornets
Make that back-to-back win over the Charlotte Hornets for the Cleveland Cavaliers! The Cavs walked out of the Spectrum with a convincing 120-104 win even with the team down two of their starters Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen.
These were some explanations behind the win.
Cedi Catches Fire
There's the classic saying you either live by the three and die by the three. Cedi Osman wasn't just living by it tonight, he was thriving from behind the arc.
Osman finished the night with 24 points while shooting 60 percent from three. Cedi may not have a definitive role in Cleveland's rotation, but he always makes the most of his playing time.
He came off the bench and played 30 big minutes for the Cavs and was one of the key reasons they got the win.
Points Off Turnovers
The Hornets struggles all night protecting the basketball and the Cavs took every advantage they could from it. Charlotte turned the ball over 22 times which resulted in 35 of Cleveland's 120 points.
Charlotte may have been careless with the basketball, but they also struggled with the Cavs' pressure on the defensive end too. Cleveland forced eight steals with Caris LeVert leading the way with four.
Caris LeVert Does A Little Bit Of Everything
Speaking of LeVert, he was another key factor in the Cavs' dominant performance. He stepped into the starting five for the injured Mitchell and did a little bit of everything for his team.
Caris finished with 22 points going 4-for-5 from behind the arc, seven assists, those four steals.
