Where Cavaliers Stand In NBA's In-Season Tournament

The Cleveland Cavaliers still have a chance to advance in the NBA's In-Season Tournament.

The NBA is now a few weeks into their inaugural In-Season Tournament. There have been some highs and some lows for the Cleveland Cavaliers through their first two games of this new addition to the schedule.

However, the important thing is that Cleveland hasn't been eliminated yet and there's still a chance for them to advance to the next round.

The Cavs currently sit third in East: Group A with a record of 1-1. They've lost to the group-leading Indiana Pacers and have defeated the Detroit Pistons, who've already been knocked out.

Their win over the Pistons last Friday night was crucial in order for the team to stay in the hunt of moving to the next round. It doesn't get easier from here though.

Next up for the Cavaliers is the 76ers who they'll have to travel to Philadelphia to play on Tuesday night. The 76ers are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have been playing solid basketball post-James Harden trade.

Cleveland will look to go in 2-1 in group play, but they'll try to accomplish this without Donovan Mitchell as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury.

The Cavs will also need to go through the ever-dangerous Atlanta Hawks in order to advance. Their record 6-6 record doesn't show what this team is truly capable of as they still have a solid roster centered around Trae Young.

While Cleveland is still alive, it does feel like they'll need to go 2-0 in their final two games along with a loss by the Pacers for their best chance to move on. This starts with beating the 76ers on their home floor.
