What To Expect In Third Cleveland Cavaliers-Atlanta Hawks Matchup

Cleveland seeks to start a four-game road trip with a victory over Atlanta tonight.

Three nights ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 135-95 to sweep a two-game homestand.

Tonight, the Wine and Gold embark on a four-game road trip with a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks.

Here are four things to expect in the third meeting between the Cavaliers and Hawks this season.

1. No Caris LeVert

According to the NBA’s 6:30 p.m. Injury Report, Cleveland swingman Caris LeVert is OUT for tonight’s game due to a right wrist sprain.

The 29-year-old, who is currently averaging 16.0 points per game, will miss his ninth game due to injury this season.

2. Hawks With A Lot To Handle

Cleveland has won both of its meetings against Atlanta so far this season.

In these two contests, the Cavaliers have outscored the Hawks by an average of 127.5-112, outrebounded them by an average of 52-39, and dished out an average of 29.5 assists compared to Atlanta’s 21.

3. Cleveland’s First True Road Game In A While

Tonight, the Wine and Gold will be playing just their second true road game of 2024.

The Cavaliers fell to the Toronto Raptors in their first such game by a score of 124-121 back on January 1, which was their last loss.

4. Lots Of Momentum For Both Sides

The Cavaliers own the NBA’s longest active winning streak at six games, which is their longest streak of the season.

On the other side, the Hawks are currently on a three-game winning streak, and would tie their longest of the season with a win tonight.
