Last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Washington Wizards by a final score of 114-106. The victory extended the NBA’s longest active winning streak to seven games.

Tonight, the Wine and Gold will face the Brooklyn Nets in the second game of a three-game road trip.

Here are four things to expect in the third matchup between these two teams this regular season.

1. Cleveland Continuing Road Success

Cleveland enters tonight’s contest with the NBA’s best road record at 15-8.

The team also enters the game on a four-game road winning streak.

2. More Mitchell Magic

Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has had a pair of substantial showings against Brooklyn this season.

In two games against the Nets, the five-time reigning NBA All-Star has averaged 36.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 4.0 steals per contest. According to StatMuse, in the last meeting between Cleveland and Brooklyn, Mitchell became just the fifth player in NBA history to record at least 45 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and four steals in a single game.

4. A Close Contest on the Boards

Brooklyn and Cleveland rank sixth and seventh in the NBA, respectively, in rebounds per game with 45.1 apiece.

In two meetings against each other this season, the Nets have a slight edge over the Cavaliers in rebounds per contest at 45.5 to 42.5.
