Tuesday night at the Expo, the Maine Celtics, playing in the G League Finals for the first time in franchise history, hosted their series opener against the Oklahoma City Blue.

They quickly capitalized on their opportunity, racing to a 33-14 lead entering the second frame. Maine played from ahead throughout the matchup, including taking an 84-61 advantage into the fourth quarter, leaving no doubt who would take the first tilt in this best-of-three.

JD Davison registered 23 points and 12 assists, pacing all participants in both categories in the Celtics' 106-86 win. A day after signing a standard, multi-year contract with the parent club, Neemias Queta produced 20 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks.

Jordan Walsh finished with 15 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Drew Peterson generated 20 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and three steals in the victory.

Game 2 is on Thursday night, Apr. 11, in Oklahoma City. That matchup will tip off at 8:00 EST.
