On Sunday, the Boston Celtics secured a 130-104 victory against the Washington Wizards. Sam Hauser scored a career-high 30 points, knocking down a personal best ten of his 13 three-point attempts.

As captured by CLNS Media, teammate Al Horford was rooting for Hauser to break the NBA’s single-game three-point record.

"I was hoping he was gonna go for 15, even break the Celtics record but also go for the league record."

Horford believes Hauser was more concerned with making the right play than forcing offensive opportunities.

"Sam is the kind of guy that he doesn't care. Like he came in at halftime, he didn't care. He just wants to play the right way. He wants to make the right play and that's what he's gonna do."

Marcus Smart, with a total of 11, holds Boston’s franchise record for most three-pointers made in one game. The NBA single-game three-point record, 14, belongs to Klay Thompson.

Boston's next game is scheduled for Monday, Mar. 18, against the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden; tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. EST.
