The Boston Celtics are throttling opponents. The team atop the NBA standings, boasting a 48-12 record, is on an 11-game win streak, the longest in the league this season. Their last five victories were by an average of 30.2 points.

That includes Sunday's 52-point shellacking of the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals. The visitors, perplexingly, chose to play off of Jaylen Brown, daring him to shoot them out of the game. He happily obliged.

But along with generating 29 points, the most in the matchup, and burying 5/10 threes, the three-time All-Star often drew the challenge of guarding Stephen Curry, who he helped hold to four points on 2/13 shooting, including 0/9 from beyond the arc, before sitting out the second half.

After the win, the Marietta, Georgia native spoke with Inside The Celtics about that assignment's reflecting the trust he has earned from his coaching staff and how it fueled him on Sunday.

Along with registering their third-largest victory in franchise history, setting an NBA record with their third win by at least 50 points this season, Boston outscored the Dallas Mavericks 72-51 in the second half en route to beating Luka Doncic and Co. 138-110 on Friday.

Brown ended the evening with 25 points, including 18 in the paint. He also snagged seven boards and dished out five assists.

Three days earlier, he produced a team-high 31 points in a 117-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 2022 All-NBA Second Team selection's role in the Celtics' success, averaging 28.3 points on 62.3 percent shooting and 5.3 rebounds per game, has earned him Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors.
