Wednesday night in the City of Brotherly Love, the Boston Celtics reclaimed the top seed in the Eastern Conference, registering a 117-107 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Adding to the impressive nature of their victory in this rivalry clash is that it happened without Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis.

Al Horford stepped into the starting lineup and delivered his best performance of the season, registering 14 points, making 4/8 threes, grabbing eight rebounds, blocking a game-high five shots, and doing a terrific job against Joel Embiid, who had only 12 points in the second half.

Derrick White starred, finishing with 27 points, producing 14 in the final frame, five assists, three rebounds, and a steal.

And Jayson Tatum put a game-high 29 points on the board, pairing it with eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

After the win, the four-time All-Star expressed, "I think it just speaks to the culture of our team and (of) our organization. How it's just next man up mentality," adding, "We don't make excuses, we just try to find ways to win."

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (0) blows a kiss to the crowd at Wells Fargo Center after making a three in the fourth quarter.

Now, the 9-2 Celtics travel north of the border to play the Toronto Raptors on Friday. The former recently steamrolled the latter, 117-94, at TD Garden.

As they aim to extend their four-game win streak, they still may not have Brown, who's dealing with a non-Covid illness, or Porzingis, who has a right knee contusion. Boston lists both as questionable on its injury report.

Horford's status is also worth monitoring. He's considered probable due to a left big-toe sprain.

Friday night's matchup between the Celtics and Raptors will tip off at 7:30 EST at Scotiabank Arena. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the matchup before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
