On Monday, the Boston Celtics picked up a 114-98 win against the New York Knicks. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis combined for 78 points.

Per Inside The Celtics, Joe Mazzulla expressed his thoughts on Boston’s efforts against the Knicks.

“The key is, we’re not gonna play the hardest all the time, that’s just natural. And the key is, can we find pockets? Can we start quarters well?”

The 35-year-old head coach enjoyed the physical, competitive nature of the match-up and praised his players’ successful approach.

“If you get into a fight and you don’t have any bruises, that’s called bullying. And if you get into a fight and you have bruises, that’s a real fight…I thought our guys stuck with it with the right mindset.”

The Celtics’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15, against the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center; tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. EST.
